Learn All You Can

It is important to learn all that you can about potential areas of interest. The suggestions offered below will provide resources to help in this phase of your job search.

  • Conduct Informational Interviewing to learn firsthand from people doing the type of job you hope to obtain, such as: how they obtained the position, what a typical day in the job entails, what would they do differently given the opportunity, etc.
  • Participate in Job Shadowing to experience what a person in a given job does.
