How do I find alumni to network with?
Notre Dame’s alumni network is said to be the strongest in the world. The key is connecting with the right alumni and networking in the proper manner.
- If you are a senior you have complete access to search the alumni database, Irish Online, for contacts.
- As an underclassman, students have access to a limited number of alumni who have offered to serve as a mentor also through Irish Online.
- Another excellent networking resource is LinkedIn, the online professional networking site. It is free to join and then search to join the Go Irish group.
- Check out the alumni clubs in the geographic area in which you are interested. Contact key members listed on the site to make connections. Visit: http://www.alumni.nd.edu, click on “Connect” to see the Clubs.
- Read The Career Center’s Informational Interview Guide and about Networking.
Make an appointment with a Career Counselor for additional tips and advice on connecting with alumni. Call (574) 631-5200.
