Asia Internship Initiative
Submit Internship Opportunity
The University of Notre Dame’s “Asia Initiatives” aim to provide Notre Dame students with unparalleled educational opportunities in Asia. A growing number of students at Notre Dame are engaged in studying Asia. In addition, students in a wide range of disciplines in departments and colleges across campus are becoming increasingly interested in careers involved with Asia, as well as with those that are based in Asia. At the same time, the number of students from Asia who are looking for careers in their home countries continues to rise.
The Asia Intern Program will be inaugurated in the summer of 2008. This is an intra-university program that involves the Provost Office’s Asia Initiatives, the Career Center, the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, the Center for Asian Studies, the College of Arts and Letters, and the Alumni Association.
The goal of the Asia Intern Program is to provide Notre Dame students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills to an office environment in businesses and organizations located in Asia. A secondary goal of the program is to increase the connection between curricular content and career opportunities for Notre Dame students. Students, by participating in the Asia Intern Program, will be better equipped to transition from the university to the workplace, as well as be better able to find careers suited to their academic background. This program can also assist employers in recruiting suitable candidates for future employment.
You may announce an internship opportunity for Notre Dame students at your company or organization by clicking on the “Submit Internship Opportunity” link above. After filling out the form, the opportunity will be reviewed and then listed on the university’s Go Irish job and internship database. Please fill out the form in as much detail as possible, as this will enable the university to recruit candidates most suited for the listed position. Internships will be filled on a rolling basis, but we advise submitting information as early as possible. If you have any questions, please contact Jonathan Noble, LoriAnn Edinborough, or Susanne Thorup.
Thank you for participating in Notre Dame’s new Asia Internship Program.
