Career Operations Manager
Education: B.B.A with a concentration in Marketing and Management, Saint Mary's College
Role at The Career Center: As the Career Operations Manager, my responsibilities include managing the following areas of The Career Center: marketing and communication, the front office team, data outcomes and reporting, and the department budget.
Professional Background: After graduating from Saint Mary's College, I worked as a Marketing Coordinator for a local franchisee working on accounts for Burger King, Chili's Bar & Grill, and Papa Vino's Italian Kitchen. From there, I spent 6 years as a Member Relations Director and Field Specialist for ClubCorp where I marketed and planned member events. I then realized I truly missed being in the higher education environment - so in 2008 I accepted a position within the Communications department at Mendoza, I then transferred to The Career Center in 2010.
About Me: I absolutely love spending time with my family and friends. I also love to entertain and read (I have a slight addiction to my Kindle!)
Most unusual job I have had: It was not necessarily unusual, but it was definitely challenging...In high school, I worked in the babysitting room of a Country Club where we would sometimes have up to 20 kids to watch ranging from 6 months to 8 years old. It was definitely a memorable experience!
What do I know now about career development that I wish I knew when I was in college? The importance of exploring different career paths and networking. There are so many resources available to college students to help you make the transition from college to career, and those resources and skills you learn can help you throughout your entire career.
